01 · About

From curiosity to production code.

I'm Alireza Rezaei. I taught myself how to code, driven by curiosity about how the digital products I used every day were built and the desire to understand the engineering behind them.

That self-taught foundation shaped how I work now: I default to understanding a system before touching it, and I care about the parts of frontend engineering that don't show up in a screenshot — architecture that scales, state that stays predictable, and interfaces that hold up under real usage.

Over the last three years I've worked across CMS platforms, dashboards, and financial applications, usually as the person untangling a messy migration or turning a one-off feature into a reusable pattern. That's where scalable frontend architecture became less of a buzzword and more of a habit.

02 · Career Journey

Four companies, one throughline: scale it, refactor it, ship it.

Each role added a different layer — dashboards, financial systems, gamification, and the fundamentals before that.

Frontend Developer
May 2025 — Present

Building and maintaining 2 large-scale administrative dashboards inside an 20-person cross-functional engineering team.

Achievements & impact
  • Closed a communication gap between design, frontend, and backend teams — accelerated feature delivery roughly 3x (a 3-sprint feature delivered in a single sprint)
  • Implemented role-based access control (RBAC) and complex, multi-step business workflows
  • Created type-safe forms with Zod and React Hook Form
  • Shipped WebSocket-based real-time notifications
  • Refactored the frontend into reusable, feature-based architecture

A closer look at the platforms I've built or rebuilt — the problem each one started with, what I built, and the result.

CMS & Workflow Automation

Enterprise Document & CMS Platform

Problem

A 20-person team needed a scalable document management system with granular access control, but changing requirements slowed delivery.

Solution

Built a large-scale admin dashboard with RBAC, type-safe forms, WebSocket notifications, and a reusable feature-based architecture while improving collaboration across teams.

Impact

Reduced feature delivery from 3 sprints to 1 (~3x faster) and improved reliability through testing.

Trading Infrastructure

Trading & Financial Platform

Problem

The platform was over-engineered from the start — including a full multilingual setup with no immediate need — adding overhead and slowing delivery.

Solution

Refactored the architecture with Next.js App Router, applying SSR/ISR by page needs, simplifying unnecessary abstractions, and rebuilding the UI on shadcn/ui.

Impact

Reduced complexity and sped up delivery while keeping the codebase scalable for future growth.
